I have one of the worst migraines I have ever had. Why am I at my computer?? I have no idea. I can't sleep anymore.

Want to know the craziest thing everr?? Caitlin Kasala-Halinan is my college roomate.
We requested the same building, that's it. There are over 300 kids in Deegan, and we still got each other haha. What are the odds? Part of me is super excited-- Caitlin is awesome, we have so much in common, we know we'll get along great. But there's a little part of me that's a tiny bit dissappointed. I kind of wanted someone new. Oh well. We'll still have fun. I met a bunch of cool kids at orientation so that will be funnnn :) September 2nd can't come soon enough. I'm getting more and more excited every day.

XC training is killing me. Every single day revolves around my run. I'm running more than I ever have in my entire life. I am extrememly excited for this xc season. I hope it's a good one. I've been running almost everyday on my own but I ran with Kelsey for the first time yesterday since the state meet. It was....different. Weird, but good. We are both in completely different shape than we have ever been in.

Every single book I have read this summer has been great. I'm on a good streak. I most definitely recommend Once Upon a Day by Lisa Tucker and Bass Ackwards & Belly Up by Elizabeth Craft. I also really enjoyed A Thousand Splendid Suns. It was much more serious, about a girl growing up in Afganistan, recommended by Mr. Donahue haha. Running With the Buffaloes was great too, reccommended by the one and only Nick Krouse, and it's cool because one of the kids is from Northboro MA and went to Saint John's High School. I like true stories. The last book I read was the 3rd from the Au Pairs series; Sun Kissed. I think I finished that in 2 days hahaha. Quick and easy but fun. I'm such a dweeb. Two months into summer and I've read 6 books. hahaha

I got lime green sheets for college :) yayyyy. A big change from my yellow and orange room at home.

LBI saturday?! WHAT? summer is flying by. I'm thrilled.

The house comfortably sleeps six and we had 22 people. hahah it got a little cozy and a tad ridiculous. His dad provided us with a keg, so it made everything better. Fireworks on the beach were fun, minus the rain and craaazy wind. It was probably my favorite night in a longggg time. I woke up on a mattress between Tino and Josh, so I'm thankful. haha things could have been much worse. I'm really gonna miss those kids once we all go away to college. There were 22 kids there and we're going to 16 different schools. I'm nervous to leave my friends.

Last summer I didn't really enjoy my summer until the last 2-ish weeks. This summer is already kicking last year's ass.

I was informed today that I have too many piercings and look trashy. ok thanks.

This is my first update from my new laptop! :) hoooray college! I had gotten so used to my old one that I didn't even realize how slow it was anymore. This one is amazingggg.

New song by Good Charolette? whaaattt? hahaha I was a huge GC fan in eighth grade. It made me extremely happy to hear them on the radio again. I don't know what I did to deserve this. I do know that I'm sorry, for whatever I did to cause this. And an explination would be really nice.

Ummm high school track and field: over, forever? It's finally sinking in 4 days later. I did cross the finish line on Saturday and I did cry. I'm not sure whether it was the "OMG I can't feel my legs, I can't breathe, I can hardly see" feeling, or if it was the "OMG that really was just my last race." Either way, I hit the grass hard and I was bawling.

4x8 had a great run. 5 school records in less than 2 years with that team<3

When I was a freshman I was the 3rd leg of the 4x8 with Nikki Radzik, who was a senior and a runner that all of us totally looked up to. She ran 12flat in the 2mile and we thought she was God. I remember running at all-class with that team, and running 11:02 for the 4x8. Gillin was ridiculously proud of us, it was the fastest team he had ever coached. I was so happy just to be part of it-- since it was with all older girls that I thought were sooooo amazing. Now, 3 years later we were running low 10:20's and making our season goal to hit the 10:00 mark. It just goes to show you how much we've improved. Not only me, but the entire Sutton track program. Almost a minute off the record time in less than 3 years. Nikki Radzik and Laura Betti were 2 girls that I thought were absolutely amazing runners. Kelsey, Rachael, Tino and I are all running as fast or faster than they did. Pretty cool.

New kid at work tonight totally thought I was someone else just because of a boy I once dated. He assumed I was that girl. NO I am absolutely NOT. I freaked out on him for even saying that. I think he's afraid of me now. hahahahaha

I graduate from high school on Friday night. hahah...
It seems like I have been incredibly busy and had no time to update, but when I sit down and think about it I have nothing to update about.

I finished high school. Monday was my last day of classes. I have to take two finals and then we graduate June 1. Physics final today and English final tomorrow, and then I am no longer a student at SHS. WEIRD.

I realized a lot this year in school. Lots of people changed. Sometimes it was a good change, but most of the time it was for the worse. We had to write a paper on "what we've learned in high school" for senior project. I've learned sooo much. This is mine:

The past four years have been a non-stop learning experience for me. I have learned how to format my paper and write the perfect essay, I have learned how to determine the angle of refraction of light through a piece of glass, and I have learned how to find the standard deviation for data on the standard curve. Although I have learned all of these very important things, I have a feeling I am not going to remember most of them after graduation. I guarantee I will not be using the distance formula this summer, or ever again in my life. I have learned plenty of important academic rules in high school, but more importantly I have learned the truth about real life and how the social aspects of four years in a small town truly work.

I have learned that best friends is a term you should use sparingly. I learned that everyone, and I mean everyone, will talk behind your back. I learned that everyone finds out everything about you, and no matter what you do, someone is not going to like it. I learned that people can say whatever they want to you, but you better not dare to say anything about them. I have learned that some people can never admit to being wrong, but they will make sure to let you know every single time you do anything wrong. I learned that after twelve years with the same 100 kids, everything starts to get a little old. I have learned that people change, and sometimes it is for the worse. I have found that people better deal you, and quite often stand you up. I have learned that the world can change in just a short amount of time. I have learned to keep my mouth shut when I hear everyone else talking bad about someone; because I know what it feels like to be that someone. I have learned what it feels like to be the only one to be left out. I have found out what it feels like to make a bad decision. I have learned what it feels like to get your heart broken. I have learned that girls are not the only ones who get overly emotional; boys can freak out too. I now know the feeling of being forgotten about. I have learned what it feels like to get yelled at, and I have learned the feeling of a good cry.
Although a vast majority of high school has been rough, not everything has been negative. I have learned to trust people, and I have learned to give second chances. I have made many new friends, and I have learned to accept all different types of people. I have learned to listen and how to take advice. I have learned that people may actually come to me for help, and I have learned how to give them the help they need. By seeing what other people do that makes me upset, I have learned to better my own character. I have learned from my mistakes. I have learned to speak up for myself, but I’ve also learned to just deal with some things. The most important thing I have learned in the past four years is just how to be me.

My 2nd half of senior project was a thank you letter. We had to write to someone in the school system that we felt changed our life. I wrote to Gillin. He refused to open it for a week becauase he knew what was inside. When he finally read it he cried. Maybe some other time I'll put that one in here too.

I behaved after prom, got up early to make the bus for the meet, and felt fine in the warm up.

I am sorry the stomach bug hit me. I am sorry for getting sick at relays. I appologize to my relays for leaving them. I'm sorry I could barely stand up. I tried sooo hard to keep it down. I would have rather been puking at senior prom .

For those kids going around saying what an inconsiderate jerk I am; getting smashed after prom and right before a big meet, I am sorry for you too. Skeeeeetayy love. hahaha

I turn 18 on thursday, and Friday at 3:30 am we leave for senior trip to Disney. We're there for 6 days and then the week we get back is prom. April '07 is probably my favorite month EVER. :)

Outdoor track started. We raced Whtinisville Christian and just barely won. Distance girls has a terrible day and Gillin yelled at Kelsey and I. I tried my best, I just had a really horrible day, and by coincidence so did the other 3 main distance girls. Apparently the scoring came down to the 4x4 realy. Whoever won that would win the meet. We ran it as a joke, totally fooling around. Thank GOD we still won, because Gillin would have probably killed us if we lost it. seriously.

i miss the way we used to be.

DRAMA drama drama at good old sutton high school this week. Kids got suspended for drug busts. Wait. WHAT? in Sutton?! yes my friends, i'm serious. we are going down hill, fast. And, three of the senior "band officers" skipped school yesterday together, on the biggest day ever for band. Now Mr. Smith wants to kick them all out because he found out they were shopping/ out to lunch on the one day they had to be there. Good suff, good stuff. Keeps me entertained.

Love is in the air! haha. There are multiple new romances within the track team. Cute kids getting together with fellow fast, cute kids.....it makes me a little depressed. gahhh i need a boy again.

Districts is Tomorrow. Weird. Quick season.
We're running a 4x8. A legitimate 4x8 team. Every year Gillin stacks the 4x4 and then we don't have a full 4x8 team. We always end up getting 4th or 5th because we have some kid in there running a 3minute leg. Saturday it's me, rach, tino, kels. Christina Donahue is running and I am soooo excited for her!
There is a board outside of the guidance office where they post senior's names when they've gotten into a college. I was looking at it before practice the other day with Josh, and he pointed to it and said, "I didn't know you got into LIU?" There was one up there for me saying I had been accepted to Long Island University. HAHAH I never even applied there. Apparently the guidance office messed up. We thought it was funny, maybe you had to be there with us. haha

48 days until band trip!
62 days until I'm 18!
63 days until Florida!
112 days until Graduation! :)

The senior trip to florida leaves the day after my birthday....on friday the 13th. I am a tad nervous to fly. hahaha

I'm sick and I have the biggest meet of the season in 2 days. WHAT THE HELL.
Winning leagues is more important to us than districts or states is. Saturday is going to be ridiculous.
I think I have two viruses at once which is crazy. I have a super sore throat and body aches, which seems like a normal combination. simple cold, strep maybe? But then I have this continuous nautious feeling, and I can't eat anything without feeling like I'm going to throw up. NOT GOOD.

I ran a 3:08.9 thousand this past saturday. I just sat behind Kelsey for all 6 laps. I wanted to pass her, but I was afraid. In 5 years of running, eleven seasons with her, I have never been able to keep up with her, never mind beat her. I had the chance and I panicked. I couldn't let myself do it. I'm thankful to have her tho. I hadnt run a 1,000 since freshman year- I had no idea how to pace myself. hahahha She helped me sooooo much.

I might play soccer in the spring. One last time. Kaitlyn and Jill are putting together a club town team with all the old kids. Freshman year there were 8 freshman girls on the varsity team. This year there were only four of those girls left. hahaha We're bringing back all 8. And some other awesome kids. <3 I'm excited.

Happy 18th Birthday Chris Bergan! !!
and Happy 17th Birthday Kelsey McLaughlin on Sunday :) :)

For once in my life I am happy that I attend Sutton High School. I have no school today while pretty much every other high school in central mass does. Four day weekends are fabulous, and whoever thought to make the day after Martin Luther King day a "professional development day" was really thinkin'.

I just finished two books for my english paper: The Perks of Being a Wallflower and Hairstyles of the Damned. Loved them both. you should all go read them.

So we have a three day week this week, with two track meets. Wednesday night we have a meet against whitinsville christian up at south. All of the xc girls are still very bitter about this past xc season, and we have a track team that is about 5 times stronger than WCS does, so it'll be fun to beat them this time.
Then on saturday we have the biggest meet of the season....DOHERTY! it's gonna be the cloesest it's ever been. They're all running well, but most of our girls are too. In basically every event we have one girl and they have one girl who could be neck-in-neck. Jaime/ Caitlin and Rach could go either way in the 2mile, Kean and Sarah both have a shot in the 600...the mile and 1,000 are totally up in the air depending on where Gillin puts Kelsey and I..and what Cait and Susannah do. It all depends on who's having the better day. It's going to be a craazzyy good meet. I'm very excited.
They upped the standards for the state class meet. Like, they made the times faster. Which is a good thing i guess, only the top runners should be able to go. But we didnt know they were any faster, so i haven't qualfied yet and neither has the majority of the girls on the team that should be able to! We gotta get moving.

Saturday night is winterball!! My last dance at sutton high!!! (well there's prom, but that isnt at the school) I'm a little excited and a little sad. I bought my dress at some little boutique-type place in vermont, so I'm pretty sure no one will have it, which is good.
I'm bringing Susannah as my date. hahahah

I got a 97 on my senior project. I'm pretty excited about that because I honestly worked my butt off for it. Grades close Friday for second quarter. I am halfway through senior year!! :)

Well, it's already the 30th...meaning vacation is pretty close to being over. This makes me extremely sad. Christmas was nice, but every year we go skiing all week. No snow = no skiing. This year = No fun. Track practice every morning at 9 is a good time. hah.

I absolutely love indoor track, but it's starting to get a little boring. I love my team, and all of the crazy kids we've met up at south, but it's the racing and the meets that I'm getting sick of. It may sound cocky, and people reading this may think I'm a bitch, but I'm just being honest. We've gone four staright years without losing a meet. If we finish this season it will be five. We have swept the league relays three out of the past four years. (We got 9 firsts and one second place this year). We're currently 42-0 for the 4 years I've been on the team. There are ten other teams in our league at South and no one else has the team size or strength that we have, so there's basically no competition. We win meets with scores like 78-12. It's ridiculous. The only team that gives us any bit of competition is Doherty, and every year they save the day we go against them till the very end of the season. (By the way....I absolutely loveee doherty. hahaha don't get me wrong it's my favorite race of the season)

I guess I just feel like it's getting old. It's not fun winning every single week when you know it's coming. It was more fun in XC when we were the underdogs last year and kind of came out of no where. No one knew we were gonna be any good, and we didn't know how any race was going to end up. Track isn't like that at all. It was such a great experience going to race at Bromfield last spring. They kicked our asses team wise, but it was nice to go and race with solid competition. Emily Jones lapped me in the 2mile....but I feel like that helped me in the long run throughout the season. I saw that I could work even harder. It's terrible, but last week I took fourth in the 2mile at South because I just didn't really care. I probably could have gone a lot harder but I knew either way i would get the points for who we were against, so I didnt go with the leaders. We get too comfortable at South, we don't race as hard as we're capable of, and then when we go to districts and states, we get schooled by the bigger stronger teams, when we really should be keeping up with them.

Gillin's talking about moving to eastern mass for outdoor track meets, because we don't even really belong to a league for outdoor. I feel like we're a misfit team with no where to go. haha ohhh sutton high school.

Is this making any sense? Or am I just rambling, as usual??

I stole this from Elaine because I don't want to start my senior project. hehe

1) Was 2006 a good year for you?
There were some great points, and then some horrible ones. So I guess it was ok.

2) What was your favorite moment of the year?
Foss. Maybe Chris, Nick, Andrew and Adrian too.

18) What was your favorite month of 2006?
July/ August were fabulous

19) Did you travel outside of the US in 2006?
Nope. never have

20) How many different states did you travel to in 2006?
CT, NY, NJ, NH, VT, RI i think that's it? so 6

21) Did you lose anyone close to you in 2006?
Yes

22) Did you miss anybody in the past year?
Yes

23) What was your favorite movie that you saw in 2006?
Little Miss Sunshine? because I saw it last night haha

24) What was your favorite song in 2006?
What Hurts The Most by Rascal Flatts

25) What was your favorite record from 2006?
thats a reaalllyyyy tough one....the XC OHSIX soundtrack. haha

26) How many concerts did you see in 2006?:
one....well, do high school concerts count?

27) Did you have a favorite concert in 2006?
Rascal Flatts. it's the only one i saw

28) Did you drink a lot of alcohol in 2006?
define a lot

29) Did you do a lot of drugs in 2006?
Never would I ever.

30) How many people did you sleep with in 2006?
zero

31) Did you lose anything important this year?
Yes. hahah my license?

33) What was the worst lie someone told you in 2006?
I lied when I said I didn't care. And I really did. We missed qualifying by one place last year. I think with the 3 of us back we can. And Rach Cardin and Emiliegh Gilfoy are also highly capable of running fast enough times.
Just know, the past week was by far the worstttt. But I am going to be optimistic, and this new week is going to be better. It has to be. There's nothing left to possibly go wrong.

I took ACT's Saturday, and drove there with quite the random group. Al and Tino (a given, we go everywhere together), Matt Sampson, Liz Alderman, and Nat Saviet. Six totally different people, who I am friends with all seperately in their own way. I thought it was going to be weird, but it was such a fun car ride, and we went out to lunch together afterwards. Honestly, the only thing we all have in common is the fact that we live in Sutton. haha They were all people I would never ever hang out with all together, but it was awesome.

Today at work a girl came to my line and she looked soooo familiar it was scary. So I cam right out and said, "You look really familiar, do I know you?" and she said she was thinking the same thing. After 5 minutes of ringing her groceries it dawned on me. FOSS. she was a cabbin coach. Not mine, but I still knew her. She was one of the cooler ones, didn't really care all that much. haha I remember liking her. Craaaazy. What was she doing grocery shopping in Millbury, MA? I have not the slightest clue.

Soo Halloween is in 2 days. I swear it was just July.
I'm being Brittney Spears from the "hit me baby one more time" video. gahhh hahahaha. Tino's being Betty Rubble from the Flinestones. Never before had I experienced this much pain. Never before had I felt this exhausted just a half mile into a race. And never ever before had I been so excited to hear Gillin's voice telling me the hill was over.

Northfield Mountain. Go give it a try.
Yeahh the first mile's a massive hill of death, but then it turns into a really nice course. Verryyy slow first mile split, followed by a verrryyyy fast next 2miles. Strange, but somehow, after the fact, I think I enjoyed it.

Susannah came! :) her team wasn't running, so she hitched a ride on the Sutton bus. Just know, we can't afford a real bus, so we take a short bus to meets. It is, however, a crazy looking short bus that stands out from miles away. And we did, infact, get made fun of as we were pulling into the meet parking lot. Susannah LOVED every minute of her first Sutton bus ride. Peeing in coffee cups, rocking out to NOW5, and tom greeeenoo!!! haha

I am wiriting a paper for my Government class on the differences between Repulicans and Democrats, and it's actually reallly hard. I have zero intrest in politics and have no idea what to write about. It has to be a minimum of 4 pages, and for the first time ever I'm having trouble getting it there. I have nothing more to say and nothing more to write about, so I don't want to sound as if I'm rambling about nothing. Which I probably aready am...

Today I went to the State National Honor Society Convention at Holy Cross. It was an eventful day filled with meeting cool new, crazy smart kids and teachers, getting new ideas for NHS stuff, and getting hit on by creepy kids in the salad bar line. Not only did this kid use the line, "Hey want me to help with those tomatoes?" but then he had the guts to come sit and eat next to me. I was shocked because this boy was sketchy to the maxxx. And Allison and Mr. Sharron would not let me live it down. I'm pretty sure Mr. Sharron went over and told the table of other advisors afterwards, because he thought it was that darn funny.

My brother got accepted to Brown Medical School.
I again look like the dumb sibling, only applying to mediocore colleges.

My parents left me home alone for the entire long weekend, a huge step for the Bock parents. My mom only called once the entire time...I'm quite proud of her. But really, I was barely home for the majority of the three days. Between school, practice, and work I only slept here and then had to get up early the next morning.

Scavenger hunt Saturday night. Ohhh wow. I <3 cmass kids. Pretty much three straight hours of complete insanity. haha Sarah, Susannah and I were the only three kids there who don't go to private high school. That was cool. We weren't sure if the Notre Dame girls were being funny or if they're really just that akward. Everything else was a fabulous time. The only thing that was lacking was Tino was not in attendance. Next time everyone needs to be there.

Last home race tomorrow. Like, last home race ever. I'm not too worried about it, it's only my 8th race there. But Kelsey, Christina and Bickford are pretty depressed. They've been running since 6th and 7th grade. That's like, 40-something races on this course. Tomorrow's gonna be pretty sentimental I guess.

I never thought we would end up like this.

Deadline for early action is november 1st. HOLY SHIT. time really does fly.

SOOO Lizzy lives on Long Island, which kinda sucks because it's about a 5 hour trip to visit her. Buttttt, she's a year older than me, and now a freshman at URI!! and Friday night I drove down to URI to visit her, which was quite the experience. It was fun meeting her roomates and other crazy friends...and seeing the campus was surprising; I had no idea URI was such a big school. However, cockroaches in her room, all over the floor in which I was supposed to sleep on, caused for us to freak out and drive back up to my house at 1:30 am. GOOD times.

Homecoming is this weekend!! Senior homecoming is such a huge deal, I'm ridiculously excited. Hopefully it doesn't rain, hopefully we win our race, and hopefully the dance is fabulous.

Every year all the seniors go somewhere after the dance and have a huge party. It's the way it has always been. Last year they went to Casey Starruk's house because she owns the camp around the lake and they have a craaazy big house. This year no one wants to have it. No one wants to deal with 50 kids, which is understandable, I mean I dont want all that crap at my house. SO as of now, with 4 days to go, we have no where to go.

Tino works at the apple orchard tho, and her boss says he would let us do whatever we want out in the orchards, as long as no one gets hurt. hahahahha i think that's a little sketchy. "Bye mom, I'm goin to sleep out in the apple orchards. See ya tomorrow."

I have no idea who John and Abigail Adams were, but right now they're on my good side.....who even knew MCAS scores counted for anything important?

Last year my PR on our home course was 19:24. All i ever wanted to do was break 19.
Today I ran 17:55

:)

Just in case you were wondering, Rascal Flatts concert sunday night was amazingggg!!!! But it made me exhausted for the rest of the week. Well worth the exhaustion.

First xc race was a mess. Every possible thing that could have gone wrong DID. In the words of Mike Mahon, who was there yesterday, it was "Two great teams dualing for three years and this time nobody even graduated!" We were a great team, but take out our number 2, 3 and 6 runners....and we're a different story. Injuries ruin a team. Physically, mentally, and in the heart. No one can move on from last year. We're set in our order from last year, and now, everything has changed, and no one is willing to accept it. Rachael Cardin was one to run exceptionally well. Props to her for pacing me to my best finish ever in an xc race. To everyone else's long term injuries, devestating falls down hills, and mental breakdowns......it's still early. We've got time to get stronger. We'll see how we fend in November.

I do, however, love the personality of our team. We lost yesterday, a tough loss, first league loss in a few years, but we accepted it. And we had the greatest bus ride home I can remember in a long time. We didn't dwell on the loss, we moved on and had a blast. Now?!?! with tino, bickford, and tom? hahaha ohhh it was a fun one.

I find it ironic how one simple moment in time can completely change your life. One little thing has brought someone back......and i think it's a good thing.

Another little crazy moment was yesterday at the NHS meeting. One outburst from Allison, and I am the new president of NHS. craazzyy how things work. I never imagined anyone would nominate me, and then once they did I never in a million years thought I would win the vote. One word, one minute, makes a world of difference.

Tomorrow I get measured for my cap and gown. Because I am a seniorrr and I'm graduatingggggg!!!!!!!!! :) ahhhhhh!

I could see us holdin' hands
walkin on the beach, our toes in the sand
I could see us on the country side
sittin on the grass layin side by side

Foss was absolutely fabulous. we decided that we were most likely "that group", you know, the one that people got easily annoyed with. but we didn't care because we had an amazing time. Sutton, Doherty and St John's were one big team for the week. We kinda went everywhere together.

Sooo my cabin was my team, and then 5 girls from Pelham New Hampshire. They were hillarious. Three were sisters, and they had canoeing (spelling??) licenses, so needless to say we won triathalon. Our cabin coach was this crazy girl named Andrea who runs for reebok boston. She was extremely nice and bought us fun things like stickers and glow sticks and dunkin donuts!! :)

We kicked ass in triathalon. Our swimmers did really good. Kelsey and I ran....and then Rachel and Emma canoed. It was amazing. We pushed off our canoe in 2nd and they came back and beat the team in front of us by 16 seconds. It was ridiculous. We even beat the staff when we raced them the next day. The may have had pro runners...but we made up for it big time in swimming and canoeing.
All week Susannah and Tino hit on the little Tieuli's. It was very funny. We had some intense games of kickball, and tetherball basically owned our lives. haha We stalked a cute boy who we referred to as "Male Model", but we were later disappointed when we found out he was a total creep at foss prom. We had dance parties on the first few nights. They didnt allow us to turn off the lights in the lodge, so we just went outside. "You can't turn the lights ON out here!" haha

Soo on Thursday night i recieved a not on my pillow that said: "Will you go to foss prom with us? Cirlce one" and then it gave me the option of yes or no. I laughed, said it was like 4th grade, and never did anything about it because I didn't know who it was. The next day the same note was at my plate during breakfast, but this time it said (Nat and Kun) in parenthesis. I said yes, but only if they matched. Sooo they borrowed Steve's clothes and obviously i had the hottest two dates at all of foss prom. They were crazy hahaha it was awesome.

For the Long Run on friday I did 11. Gillin wouldn't let Christina or KelsMc go any more than 7 because their injuries are so bad. So I figured I'd do my 11 with the other Kelsey. She took off in the first mile and I never saw her again. haha soo I made friends with the Shrewbury Boys and Andrew Brank. They were quite entertaining. When the 15 loop merged with us Nat found me, so I did my last 5 with him because his shins hurt.

I loved our volleyball team, who won 4 straight games when we weren't even paying attention, i loved star gazing at night with some pretty silly kids, canoe practicing and finding sketchy things in the water, susannah's birthday and pinata, dance parties, big akward john, big akward lifegaurd, the scary story teller, Ne-Fi, the pine apple, head lights, our cabin at night....and being ridiculous all week long. <33
and yes, the sutton girls did make it then entire week :)

I can still remember the feeling of the first day of varsity soccer tryouts freshman year. Scared shitless. If I made one wrong move I was done. The coach, the assistant coach, the captains, all of the older girls...everyone was watching me. One wrong step and everyone saw you mess up. One kick too hard, or not hard enough, and they saw it. It was completely nerve racking. I remember not sleeping for two days before. I remember that morning, not wanting to go. The feeling of stepping out onto that damp grass early in the morning with 40-something girls, knowing only 20 were going to stay. And the feeling of being there all day until that grass was hard and dry, and you were hot and sunburned. It was hard to breathe, hard to think, but I did it. And sitting here now, I can still feel that same feeling.

I'm not sure if everyone else experiences it. It's the feeling of pure excitement. A little different now. The same feeling as the first day of soccer tryouts, but better. The feeling of hopefulness and confidence. Not scared, but a little nervous. Knowing now that it's passion. Knowing you're safe, knowing this is what you love. Nothing but happiness. It's the feeling that makes me smile for the rest of the day. Knowing what a great thing has started, and how much is still to come. It's the feeling of the first practice of the year. And it still gives me butterflies. <3

XC has started. And I remember now why I quit the soccer team.

LBI was fabulous, as usual, and I want to go back right now.

I have to get my yearbook picture done on Tuesday. Like, my senior pictures. I'm not usually one to care that much about something like this, but for some reason I'm freaking out. I have absolutely no idea what to wear. It sucks that I have to get them done two days after getting home from a week at the beach, because I have horrible tan lines now. No matter what shirt I wear you can see two big white stripes going up around my neck.....hot.

Do you only wear pants? Are skirts not acceptable for yearbook pictures? And Al says not to wear shorts sleeves because they make everyone's arms look fat. If there's one thing I have it's lanky arms and legs....but still, is she right?? I need the rules and regulations of senior pics haha

I went shopping today and picked out at shirt at american eagle, and then about 10 minutes later I found one just like it at Abercrombie for $4 cheaper, and I liked the color more. That never happens, so I went back to American Eagle and got my money back. Looking back on it I feel like that's terribly low class. I must have looked like a completely sketchy character.

I painted my nails too much. Now they're stained an orange-yellow color and look disgusting. I'm embarassed to let anyone see them, but I have to let them grow out a little and breath. I do this every summer. gahhhhhh i'm dumb.

Tomorrow morning is senior spot morning. We have to show up at the school at 8am to get a parking spot. It's first come first serve. 89 seniors and 65 spots. Granted, not everyone has a car. But the majority of us do...and some kids are gonna get screwedddd. Tino and I were gonna camp out at the school tonight, you would think it was so we would be the first ones there. Ohh no. we just wanted to sleep in a tent hahha
